Mahogany blocks are located in the head/scroll, tail, and both points. Using my patterns, I cut these from a 1-1/2" thick mahogany board. |

My first bends! Here are 2 of the rim pieces clamped into the form. |

In this picture I've trimmed the ends and clamped the scroll block into place to hold the bent pieces. |

The final piece was bent and clamped into place, with the point blocks installed to help hold it while it dries. |

Of course, today I couldn't wait to get home from work and spread some glue! Here is the finished rim. I'm very happy with the results! |
